The Devoted Paw

Lura Zornes is the Owner and Groomer at the Devoted Paw. Lura began her grooming career in 2014 as an apprentice in a Veterinary Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky after graduating from Eastern Kentucky University. Lura found true love working with veterinarians where she developed a specialty of caring for special needs pets who had a history of anxiety, distrust or even sedation. Lura is certified in Pet First Aid and employs Fear Free grooming techniques. She believes in only using positive based training techniques to correct undesired behavior.  

 

Nathan Zornes is the Grooming-Assistant at the Devoted Paw. In 2021 Nathan joined his wife Lura in working inside the newly purchased mobile grooming van. After spending the previous ten years working as a Butcher and graduating from Eastern Kentucky University Nathan was excited to work with animals in a different way. He has been a life-long dog owner and lover and is ecstatic to be able to care for client pets every day.

 

The Devoted Paw is constantly learning through continuing education opportunities within the pet grooming community. They strive to bridge the gap between owners and groomers and become a resource for their clients. With the love of a pets family and the medical care from a trusted veterinarian Nathan and Lura endeavor to form the third pillar of your Pets care.
